Need to reassure her

Seven years has passed since the end of her quest. The Heroine of Time, Zelda, has been living in Hyrule in quiet peace.

However, there is something that had been troubling the young woman, deep inside her she can't help but feel... doubt and fear, a terrible fear in her heart. She doesn't want to think about it, but it's always there, the fear of her heart breaking for whom she is... or what she is not.

— Zelda, why are you like this? Since a couple of days ago, I feel that you had been avoiding me...

The ex-wielder of the Master Sword averted her eyes to the left, not being able to look directly at the face of the Prince of Hyrule, her precious friend... her lover.

— You're imagining things...

The blond man grabbed her shoulders lightly, taking her by surprise.

— No, I'm definitely not imagining anything. If you are not training in whatever thing you want to improve, the moment I get close to you, you say that there is something that needs to be taken care of. And if I offer to go with you, you tell me "You don't need to worry about those things, you had other more important stuff to do"... you never treat me like that... what's happening?

— Nothing is happening, your Highness...

Zelda had to close her eyes to not see the shock and hurt that surely appeared in her beloved's eyes.

— "Your Highness"? My name is Link... I had told you years ago that you could call me Link, sometimes I even begged you to do so... why... why are you not saying it now?

—It's... it's the proper thing to do...

— What are you talking about? Since when had we cared about that?

She took a deep breath, but couldn't open her eyes yet.

— We should have started a long time ago...

— What's going on, Zelda?!...

The woman couldn't take it anymore, she opened her eyes and looked directly at him, showing the prince that her eyes were beginning to show tears.

— It's just that I'm afraid! Afraid that all this time that we had been together it's going to be destroyed because you are the prince of this land! And I'm a nobody!

— You are NOT a-...!

— To them I am!—She interrupted him— You know it, Link! Nobody remembers that Dark era... nobody knows who I am!

The prince looked at her with clear regret in his eyes.

— ... Do you hold a grudge against me for that?...

Zelda's face changed from distress to shock, but she answered almost instantly.

— NO! Goddesses, no, Link!... I would never do that... you know I would never hold it against you, you did what it was best!... Also...—She turned her head a little to the left, blinking in an attempt to erase the tears that were still on her eyes—... I think that even if they knew what I did... it would matter not, because I still wouldn't be a noble or royal woman...

— Zelda...

Said woman could feel how her prince put his hand against her left cheek, putting a soft pressure against it in a silent plea for her to turn her head back to him, but unfortunately, the bearer of the Triforce of Courage was still scared to look at him, so Link just took her softly by her chin.

— My love... I swear to you, I will not let anything come between us... not even the council. You're my most important person, Zelda, I love you with my whole soul, I swear by the Goddesses that nothing will change that.

At last, Zelda put herself closer to him, resting against her body, hiding her face against Link's neck, while he embraced her tightly, putting his right cheek on her head. He could hear his beloved soft whisper.

— I just don't want to lose you... I love you too...

— You won't... You fought for our entire world, my beloved heroine...let me fight for our love.

Well, it had been quite some time since I uploaded a short story with one of my pictures, but here it is!

I think said story already explained the concept of the picture! But I'll explain it anyway!...First of all, as you can see, this is a Role Reversal picture! In other words, we have the Heroine of Time, Zelda, and the Prince of Destiny, Link!

For a moment I thought of making Link's shirt red, but I remember the Twilight Princess Role Reversal, and I wanted it to be a little diferent...altought I still think red would be the logical choice, since Zelda's dress is a variation of Pink! Anyway, here is blue, case closed!

Ok...the problem here is, recently, our heroine has been disturbed because of the fact that her relationship with the Prince of Hyrule could be in danger because the council would want him to marry a lady of noble status. But the seventh sage doesn't give a shit about what the council may think, he is not going to be separated from his soulmate, and he is going to do everything in his power to prevent that.
